Nik: Sure do... all the hard work as Ambassador for Homer J's Senior Dog Sanctuary has finally paid off.
Ted: I know you have been working hard spreading the Senior Dog Adoption gospel, what happened?
Nik: I have a few friends in Ohio that have been considering adopting a Senior from a nearby shelter.
Ted: Considering? What do you mean?
Nik: Until recently, they were still recovering from the loss of their best friend, a Golden named Chloe... she was amazing, the kind of spirit that makes you proud to be a D.O.G, if you know what I mean.
Ted: Sure do... Go on...
Nik: Well, I have been keeping in touch with them through Facebook and when I logged in to check on them, I saw this picture. Her name is June, she is 10 years old and spent the last year in a local kennel. Poor girl's parents dropped her off and never came back.
Ted: That makes me so sad.
Nik: Yea, its sad, but the kennel staff took great care of her. When my friends heard about June needing a home, they told the staff that they were willing to give it a try for the weekend. Apparently it only took June 4 hours to win them over. Not only did they offer her a permanent home, but they want to be an Official Satellite Sanctuary. June will join me as an Ambassador and try to help Senior Dogs everywhere.
Ted: That's great Nik. The hard work finally paid off; The Homer would be very proud. We will be sure to send June and her new family a Satellite Sanctuary Care package with special instructions and gifts in recognition of their generosity.
Nik: Can we send June a special tag so everyone knows her special role as Senior Dog Ambassador.
Ted: No problem buddy. June J. Pumpkin.... Welcome to the Family.
